Biography
Jill Jaynes is the owner and founder of Absolute Integrated Medicine, the first and only private and community acupuncture clinic in Indian River County. It was her vision to provide the healing benefits of acupuncture and Chinese medicine to Vero Beach residents in an accessible and affordable way.
Dr. Jill, as her patients fondly refer to her, holds a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. She is Nationally Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed under Chapter 457 as a Primary Care Provider with the Florida Department of Health. A resident of Vero Beach since she was a child, Dr. Jill is an avid believer that patients hold the key to their own health and well-being and that “dis-ease” is an imbalance in a person’s physical, mental and emotional states. With this approach, Dr. Jill treats each patient as a whole individual looking not just to the physical imbalance or “dis-ease,” but to all aspects of her patient’s well-being.
In addition to a traditional Chinese medicine approach, Dr. Jill has received training in the “Body Type System,” which incorporates the 5 energetic elements with an individual’s unique energetic constitution. This system of “Body Type Diagnosing” combined with acupuncture treatments, Chinese Food Therapy and environmental elemental awareness, speeds a person’s healing and brings them to a state of balance with more ease and speed than traditional acupuncture treatments alone. This approach is simpler and more efficient at restoring balance and healing the body, mind and spirit. In addition, the patient learns how to take charge of their own health and well-being in between office visits by learning what foods complement and aid in their healing. Dr. Jill requires each of her acupuncture physicians to train with the Body Type System. Upon your first visit, you will likely walk out knowing your own unique body type, how it affects your personality, “dis-ease” or imbalanced states and what foods to incorporate into your diet for the most effective and efficient healing possible.
Dr. Jill also received certification and training in Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) which helps to uncover and heal allergies that may be caused by physical, mental or emotional trauma. NAET is an effective and highly successful treatment for many problems that have become chronic and for which many patients have received little or no success from other treatments. Many times a patient can be healed of long standing allergies in only one visit. This technique combined with acupuncture, body type diagnosing and Chinese food therapy can quickly and effectively relieve a patient’s “dis-ease” or allergy.
Dr. Jill’s vision for creating the county’s first Community Acupuncture Clinic now allows the healing modality of acupuncture to be accessible to everyone. This vision became a reality in November 2013 and has been a resounding success within the community.
