Biography
Clarissa Smith is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Oregon and is nationally board certified (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture. A 1997 graduate of Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine, she is the founder of Jade Acupuncture, and has practiced in the northwest neighborhood of Portland, Oregon since 1998. Clarissa has a rich background in herbal medicine, having begun her training at Santa Fe College of Natural Medicine in 1982 where she studied clinical herbalism as well as wild harvesting of medicinal plants and pharmacology. In 2011, Clarissa completed a professional post graduate training at ICEAM with Dr. Arnaud Versluys to further enhance her ongoing studies of classical Chinese herbal medicine.
Clarissa Smith is a excellent Acupuncturists and Herbalists with a strong focus on internal medicine and chronic conditions. She has effectively treated many internal imbalances, as well as skin diseases. Clarissa also works with infertility, pregnancy and post partum issues with acupuncture and herbal medicine. Pain conditions, chronic or acute, from fibromyalgia and arthritis to sports injuries or motor vehicle accidents, can also be treated.
